Scorpion EXO 1000 Sublim Helmet – Review

By Editor | Apr 1, 2011

The shell of the Scorpion EXO 1000 is made of reinforced Kevlar and fiberglass and it has been certified to be both Snell M2005 and DOT rated.

It comes with an anti-scratch and anti-fog faceshield that can be quickly removed and serviced or cleaned.  A cool feature about the EXO 1000 in terms of comfort is the interior has a built-in and movable pump and inflatable bladder behind each cheekpad, so you can inflate or deflate to your liking and firm up the snugness or release pressure as need be. A draw back to this, is that there is no room for earphones.  The interior features Kwik Wick moisture control fabric that can be taken out and washed when things get a bit yucky.

When the vents are firmly shut and the fit is snug after adding some air in the cheek pocket the Scorpion EXO 1000 Sublim helmet actually achieved an acceptable noise level.  This model features Scorpion’s drop down and flip up sunshade, it is like having sunglasses built right into the helmet.

Although a little on the heavy side, the Scorpion EXO 1000 Sublim has very good shape and aerodynamics, along with the other features mentioned above the EXO 1000 makes a good buy.

Price: $310
